Hi there, I'm Antti Valos
A versatile Finnish creative based in Dublin Ireland. Specialised in UI design, branding & photography.
My graphic design journey started in 1999 at the age of 14 by designing websites with Photoshop and coding in HTML. In early 2000's I sold my first digital illustration to a UK ad agency, a logo to an Italian car dealership and freelanced for a Korean fashion house for several years. I've been at it ever since.
After junior high I studied a secondary upper qualification in graphic design and photography for 3 years at Riveria (North Karelia Municipal Education and Training Consortium, Finland). I continued my studies at Karelia University of Applied Sciences for one semester until I got hired for my first day job at a local advertising agency as a Production Art Director in 2007.
I’ve followed the web develop from 800x600 pixel CRT displays to 27” retina widescreens, then squeezed into our pockets with responsive design for today’s smartphones. From bitmaps to vector SVG, tables to divs, Flash to HTML5, Photoshop slices to Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, interactive prototypes, Design Systems & UX thinking. Not to mention data protection regulations, accessibility standards and most recently AI assisted tools and technologies.
Between 2010–2022 I worked at Karhu Helsinki digital agency. First as an Art Director and later Creative Director. In 2016 I accepted an invitation to be a partner in the agency and in 2022 I sold back my share to be able to work abroad.
At Karhu I was in charge of design for hundreds of website, brand, UI & UX projects for a multitude of clients both local and global in a variety of industries from machine learning to potato chips, while also developing our own brand.
In January 2023 I moved to Dublin, Ireland with my wife for new challenges and culture to work as a Senior UI Designer at an Irish Digital Agency Matrix Internet. Currently I'm working on app & website UI design, building design systems, photography & video production.

Hobbies and other activities
I like to spend my spare time traveling, bouldering, playing guitar and producing Synthwave music. Long road trips are my absolute favourite thing to do.
With my Makeup Artist wife Eve I shoot beauty & editorial studio photography as Valos Creative. Our work has been internationally published by magazines like IMIRAGE, GMARO, Beautica, Moevir, Vigour, Lenore, Over Magazine and many more.
As a photographer I had an opportunity to take part in Fashion Weeks in Milan 2024 & Paris 2023 to photograph the collection and hair & makeup teams for Paulina's Friends and VANIHILA.
